Now its tme for the action As our OB prof Fr Tony Uvary says its the Forming stage .. we all come up wid differnt ideas,everyone is full of zeal and energy, hours go by, hours turns to days .. still no clear sight of the goal .. Its high time now, the deadline is approaching .. we visit a lot of NGOs,orphanages,slums .. some are quite well off and some would take too long time to make any visible outcome ..
One fine day again we go on our hunt to find the target area(one of the few marketing terms i hv learnt here ..)..We come to this place in 'jaydev vihar',Bhubaneswar . After a lot of enquiry from the local peoples we reach a school for the slum children,bt wat we found broke our hearts .. it was a small room wid no doors,lights,fans .. the roof was almost collapsing .. and there were children .. believe me it was not a small number .. there are around 50 children for whom that was the school.
With a twinkle in our eyes(finally we have found a place to start of) and broken hearts(we visualized our childhood and tried to correlate) we decided to start our work.
